Important information if you are taking a cab from Puerto Vallarta Airport/Información importante si usted tomará un taxi del aeropuerto de Puerto Vallarta:
Taxi Fares/Tarifas de taxi
- At the Puerto Vallarta airport, taxi fares are federally regulated and non- negotiable. They charge in pesos. One can pay in either US dollars or Mexican currency. It is usually better to pay in pesos. You can find ATM´s at the airport.
- Taxi and Van rates are per vehicle, not per person. A taxi can accommodate 1-3 people plus luggage. Otherwise you will need a larger vehicle. Fares for vans are approximately the cost of 2 cabs.
- Note: it´s fine to get a porter to help you with your luggage; they are located just past Customs. Carts are available in the luggage area before Customs, near the baggage claim area.
- Please note that there are 3 different Airport Taxi companies. Check more than one booth if you want. Fares are listed by zone (see below). There are no taximeters in Puerto Vallarta cabs. You can distinguish between standard cabs and airport approved cabs by their colors. All airport cabs are white - while the standard cabs (you'll see all over the city) are yellow.
